Choosing Your Obsidian Planner Setup
This category holds the planning templates: structure for your hours and your habits rather than your notes. The Daily Planner is a time-blocking template built around three Most Important Tasks, an hour-by-hour timeline written in Day Planner plugin syntax, and a short end-of-day shutdown ritual, with three realistic example days and a weekly overview included. The Habit Tracker works at the other timescale: monthly grids with habits as rows and days as columns that need no plugins at all, plus an optional Dataview dashboard that computes streaks, monthly totals and perfect days from one-minute daily log entries. It ships with two fully tracked months of realistically imperfect data.
Pick by the problem in front of you. If your days evaporate without a plan, start with the planner; the Day Planner plugin turns the timeline into a live view of where you are in the day. If your days are fine but your weeks drift, track habits first, since the grid version costs nothing to try.
The two combine without friction in one vault: plan the day in the morning, tick the habit grid at night. And if your planning already lives inside a daily note rather than a separate planner page, the daily notes templates cover that pattern instead.
